• Fixtures projects for the electronic gadget industry. The engineer must demonstrate exceptional agility, maintaining a round-the-clock customer connect to meet aggressive production schedules and successfully navigate tough customer demands from kickoff to final deployment. Core Responsibilities - Schedule Acceleration &
• Agile Baseline Control
- Aggressive Project Scheduling: Develop and accelerate high-speed project baselines and critical path networks to meet compressed, aggressive customer timelines without compromising toolroom standards.
- Agile Change Execution: Exhibit high agility in adjusting schedules dynamically to mirror real-time design modifications and rapidly changing engineering constraints on the floor.
- Milestone Enforcement: Track tight design freezes, short-cycle material procurement, and automated logic testing to ensure zero timeline slippage.
- Demand Management & Customer Connect
- Tough Demand Navigation: Act as the primary buffer and interface to absorb, evaluate, and structurally deploy tough, fluctuating, and strict customer engineering demands.
- Round-the-Clock Connect: Maintain proactive, continuous, and responsive contact loops with premium global electronics clients to report daily project updates and rapidly clear delivery roadblocks.
- Scope Control: Formally document the cost and timeline impact of customer-driven scope changes, preserving target project profitability.
- Commercial Controls & Resource Sync
- Hour Variance Management:
Track actual toolroom, assembly, and programming hours vs. the Commercial Estimate, immediately deploying correction strategies to prevent labor overruns.
- Ecosystem Liaison: Partner with internal manufacturing, sub-contractors, and on-site field engineers to keep high-value material flows and site installation windows strictly synchronized.
Technical
Requirements - Education & Experience
- Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. Project management certification (PMP/CAPM) is preferred.
- Experience (B.E. / B.Tech): Minimum 5 years of core experience in high-velocity technical project planning or toolroom coordination.
- Experience (Diploma): Minimum 10 years of robust, hands-on experience in manufacturing planning, toolroom operations, or project execution management.
- Specialized Systems & Competencies
- SAP & ERP Systems: Hands-on data proficiency within SAP modules (SAP PP, MM, or PS) to evaluate real-time inventory tracking, production planning, and cost tracing updates.
- Planning Platforms: Expert command over MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent enterprise planning software systems alongside advanced Excel metrics.
- Behavioral Attributes: Proven track record of operating effectively in high-pressure, agile settings. Resilient, solution-oriented, with the stamina to handle rigorous communication expectations. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Performance Target / Benchmark - Aggressive Schedule OTD 100% adherence to accelerated target FAI milestones under tight client timelines.
- Customer Responsiveness Achieving zero communication delays under a continuous, round-the-clock connectivity setup.
- Budget Containment Restricting actual toolroom engineering hours to within ±5% of the pre-set commercial baseline estimate.
- SAP Data Integrity Ensuring instant, real-time logging of critical milestone clearances and toolroom variations inside the ERP.
