About the Role

Electrical Engineer - Contract position with a compensation of $30 - $40/hour. Location: Remote - Candidates from India preferred. Commitment: 10-39 hrs/week.

Responsibilities

- Build schematic designs and PCB layouts that reflect real hardware engineering workflows in domains like aerospace & defense, automotive, rail & transportation, energy & industrial systems, and medical devices.
- Use KiCad to develop complete board designs — schematic capture, hierarchical sheets, custom symbol and footprint libraries, multi-layer layout, routing and net classes, design rule checks, and manufacturing outputs (Gerbers, drill files, BOM, pick-and-place).
- Translate open-ended electrical design problems into self-contained tasks with reference solutions.
- Review work produced by other engineers by giving technical feedback.

Qualifications





- Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software) or a related technical discipline.

Required Skills

- Have hands-on experience with KiCad; familiarity with other ECAD tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD/Allegro, or Autodesk Eagle is a plus.
- Have working knowledge of PCB design fundamentals and standards such as IPC-2221/IPC-7351, DFM/DFA practices, power integrity, signal integrity, and EMC considerations.
- Possess solid English communication skills, with a focus on written proficiency.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with other ECAD tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD/Allegro, or Autodesk Eagle is a plus.

Pay range and compensation package

Compensation: $30 - $40/hour
