Key Responsibilities:
Policy & Planning: Develop, implement, and update EHS policies, procedures (like SOPs, emergency plans), and programs.
Risk Management: Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend preventive measures.
Training & Awareness: Organize and deliver safety training, drills, and awareness campaigns for all staff.
Incident Management: Investigate accidents/incidents, report findings, and implement corrective actions.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, national, and industry-specific OHS laws and standards.
Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain safety records, track training,
and provide reports on safety performance.
Employee Engagement: Promote a proactive safety culture through communication and involvement. Core Duties:
Performing regular site walks to spot hazards.
Advising on PPE usage and machine safety.
Managing permits for high-risk work (e.g., confined space, fall protection).
Liaising with regulatory bodies.
