Description The Senior Power BI Developer with Databricks will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards using Databricks as the primary data transformation and orchestration layer. This role plays a key part in enabling governed self-service analytics and operational reporting across Greystar.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Power BI semantic models to support scalable and reusable reporting.
Build and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, including migration of existing Excel-based models.
Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations and optimize datasets for performance and scalability.
Work closely with Data Engineering teams leveraging Databricks for data preparation and transformations using SQL and Python.
Implement and optimize DirectQuery, Direct Lake, and Databricks connectors as appropriate.
Publish, manage, and secure content in Power BI Service, including workspace management and app deployments.




Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and align with enterprise governance standards.
Monitor dataset refreshes, usage metrics, and report performance.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.
Support documentation, knowledge transfer, and reporting best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Modeling.
Solid hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and semantic modeling.
Robust SQL skills with experience integrating Power BI with Databricks.
Experience with DirectQuery / Direct Lake and large datasets.
Experience with Power BI governance, including RLS, workspace management, and deployment practices.
Solid communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience
Experience supporting enterprise-scale, governed self-service analytics environments.
