About the Role

Mount Litera Zee School, Bihta, is looking for a talented, energetic and well-rounded Music Teacher with robust skills in vocal music, guitar and keyboard/Casio. The ideal candidate should be capable of teaching students, preparing them for school events and competitions, and developing a vibrant musical culture across the school.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach vocal and instrumental music to students across different age groups.
- Train students in Indian and Western vocal music as appropriate to their level.
- Must be proficient in playing Guitar and Keyboard/Casio.
- Prepare students for school assemblies, annual functions, celebrations, competitions and special events.
- Train students in both Hindi and English songs, including patriotic, devotional, contemporary and school-appropriate popular music.
- Develop and conduct choirs, musical groups, bands and solo performances.
- Arrange and rehearse songs according to students' vocal abilities and age groups.
- Handle live performances and stage rehearsals, including coordination of instrumentalists and singers.
- Create engaging music activities that encourage students to develop confidence, rhythm, pitch and stage presence.
- Identify talented students and provide focused training to nurture their musical abilities.
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment during music classes and rehearsals.
- Collaborate with teachers and the school management for cultural programmes and events.
- Maintain basic records of students' participation and musical progress.
- Stay updated with new songs, musical trends and innovative teaching techniques suitable for school students.

Essential Skills & Qualifications




- Graduate/Diploma/Degree in Music or Performing Arts preferred.
- Strong vocal ability with valuable pitch, rhythm and voice modulation.
- Excellent command of Guitar and Keyboard/Casio.
- Ability to teach and perform Hindi and English songs confidently.
- Good understanding of music theory, rhythm, scales and basic notation.
- Strong stage-performance and rehearsal-management skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Ability to work effectively with children and teenagers.
- Creative, energetic, patient and enthusiastic personality.

Preferred Candidate The ideal candidate will be someone who can sing, play guitar and keyboard/Casio, teach students and independently prepare a complete musical performance for a school event.

Experience in CBSE/ICSE schools, music academies, choirs, bands, stage performances or school cultural programmes will be an added advantage.
