ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a Medical Biller to work alongside our AI billing systems (including Mark, our AI Medical Biller) on U.S. healthcare claims. You'll be validating AI-generated claims, catching edge cases the model misses, handling exceptions that require human judgment, and feeding corrections back into the system to improve accuracy. This role requires flexibility to work U.S. shift hours to stay in sync with client operations and payer response windows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Review and validate claims processed by our AI billing platform before submission
- Perform eligibility verification, charge entry, and claims submission for U.S. payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance)
- Identify and correct billing errors, coding mismatches, and claim discrepancies flagged by the AI or found through manual audit
- Work claim denials and rejections, determine root cause, and route to the right resolution path




- Document exception patterns and edge cases to help improve the AI model's accuracy over time
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and U.S. payer billing regulations
- Collaborate with coding, A/R, and appeals teams (human and AI) to keep the revenue cycle moving
- Work within EHR/PM systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, NextGen, and others depending on client

WHAT YOU NEED

- Minimum 4 years of hands-on U.S. medical billing experience, ideally across multiple specialties or payer types
- CPB (Certified Professional Biller) or equivalent certification
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifier usage as it applies to billing
- Experience with claims submission software / clearinghouses and at least one major EHR or PM system
- Robust grasp of denial codes, appeals process, and payer-specific billing rules
- Comfort working with or alongside AI-driven tools — you'll be reviewing machine output daily, not just doing manual entry
- Sharp attention to detail; you're the last line of defense before a claim goes out wrong
- Willingness and ability to consistently work U.S. shift hours, including night shifts as applicable

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience in an RCM outsourcing or healthcare AI company
- Exposure to emergency department, anesthesia, or specialty billing
