Role Description The Mechanical Project Engineer is a full-time in office role based in Surat, responsible for supporting and managing mechanical aspects of construction and industrial projects. This role involves designing and reviewing mechanical systems, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and preparing technical drawings and documentation using CAD tools.
The Mechanical Project
Engineer will plan project activities, monitor progress against schedules and budgets, and assist in resolving technical issues during execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with clients and contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards,
and contributing to the integration of mechanical solutions within broader project frameworks, including MEP systems. The role also includes reporting on project status, identifying risks, and supporting continuous improvement in engineering and project delivery practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in industrial or construction projects.
- Demonstrated Project Engineering and Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for mechanical design, detailing, and preparation of technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within building and industrial projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry codes and standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, consultants, and site teams.
- Experience in construction project environments and familiarity with EHS practices is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Surat and manage multiple assignments in a dynamic project setting.
