Mechanical Manufacturing Intern About The Role ERIC Robotics is looking for a Mechanical Manufacturing Intern to support day-to-day manufacturing operations at our Pune office. The intern will work closely with the Manufacturing and Mechanical teams to track shop-floor activities, coordinate vendor visits, and assist in ensuring components and assemblies meet required quality and delivery expectations. This is a hands-on internship suited to someone who enjoys working on the manufacturing floor, wants exposure to real production processes, and is comfortable reading engineering drawings and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities - Manufacturing Floor Support

- Track and follow up on ongoing manufacturing tasks to ensure jobs progress as per plan.
- Monitor component fabrication, machining, and assembly activities on the shop floor.
- Identify and flag delays, quality issues, or deviations to the concerned Team Lead.
- Support follow-up on pending manufacturing activities and ensure timely closure.
- Vendor Coordination and Visits
- Visit vendor facilities to check manufacturing progress, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Cross-check parts and assemblies against drawings, dimensions, and specifications during vendor visits.




- Coordinate with vendors for updates on pending jobs and manufacturing status.
- Share vendor visit observations and updates with the internal team through structured notes or reports.
- Drawing and Documentation Support
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings to verify dimensions, tolerances, and fitment requirements.
- Maintain manufacturing trackers, checklists, status reports, and issue logs.
- Use MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
- Support documentation of manufacturing progress, vendor visits, inspections, and pending actions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with the Mechanical, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to keep activities on track.
- Follow up on dependencies affecting manufacturing and delivery.
- Escalate critical delays, quality concerns, or manufacturing issues to the Reporting Manager in a timely manner.
- Support internal coordination between design, procurement, and manufacturing teams when required.

Requirements Educational Qualification - Pursuing or recently completed a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong interest in manufacturing, mechanical systems, shop-floor operations, and vendor coordination.

Technical

Skills – Must Have - Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T.;

- Working proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, and fitment.
- Ability to verify basic component dimensions and manufacturing requirements.
- Willingness to travel locally within Pune for vendor visits. Good to Have - Working knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar tools.
- Prior exposure to a manufacturing, fabrication,



machine shop, workshop, or production environment through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Basic understanding of quality inspection and measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation, BOMs, or production trackers. Key Competencies - Strong mechanical aptitude

- Team coordination Work Requirements - Full time internship based at the Pune office.
- ERIC Robotics follows a 6-day working week, Monday to Saturday, with Sunday as the weekly off.
- Regular visits to vendor manufacturing facilities in and around Pune will be required.
- Comfortable spending significant time on the shop floor and at vendor facilities, rather than working only from a desk.
- Flexible and proactive approach to tracking multiple manufacturing tasks in parallel.
- Willingness to support urgent manufacturing, vendor, or production requirements when required.
