Role Overview The Material & Corrosion Engineer will lead material selection and corrosion protection strategies for offshore wind projects (HVAC & HVDC platforms) located in the different parts of the world including Netherlands, Germany, and Taiwan. The role spans Engineering Design and Fabrication Support. ensuring compliance with international and regional standards, delivering reliable, safe, and cost-effective solutions tailored to marine environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Material & Corrosion Engineering
- Develop Material Selection Diagrams (MSDs)
- Corrosion Control Philosophy, protective coating and liner specifications, and cathodic protection requirements for offshore HVAC/HVDC platforms.
- Corrosion and Material Selection Philosophy
- Specification for Thermal Insulation
- Coating specifications
- Assess and specify MIC (Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion) control measures and corrosion inhibitor requirements.
- Ensure material compatibility, regulatory compliance, and long-term asset integrity for offshore applications.

- Standards, Compliance & Regional Requirements
- Ensure compliance with DNV, ISO, IEC, and NACE standards.
- Address EU regulatory context for Netherlands/Germany projects (design & fabrication compliance)



and local requirements for Taiwan (including localized supply-chain practices and certification pathways).
- Construction, Fabrication & Installation Support
- Provide technical guidance during fabrication; resolve Site Queries related to coatings, corrosion and galvanic isolation.
- Risk & Integrity Management
- Perform corrosion risk assessments (internal/external, MIC risk, under-deposit, etc).
- Define inspection and maintenance plans (CUI mitigation, coating condition surveys, CP monitoring, and periodic integrity reviews).
- Contribute to hazard reviews (HAZID/HAZOP) for corrosion-related threats.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy Engineering,
- 5–10 years of experience in FEED / EPC projects as material and corrosion engineer, ideally in offshore projects (oil & gas or offshore wind).
- Robust knowledge of:
- Marine corrosion mechanisms (uniform, pitting, galvanic, MIC,).
- Hot Dip Galvanization, Material selection, coating and insulation.
- Familiarity with Offshore platform structural interfaces
- Advantageous: Experience with projects in EU and Taiwan, including localized supply chains and certification.
