Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire Designer to develop detailed fire protection system designs for commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing fire-fighting and fire alarm system layouts, hydraulic calculations, design drawings, and ensuring compliance with applicable fire safety codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed design and shop drawings for fire-fighting systems, including:
Sprinkler Systems
Hydrant Systems
Hose Reel Systems
Fire Pumps
Gas Suppression Systems
Water Mist Systems
Design and prepare layouts for fire alarm and detection systems.
Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and hydrant networks.
Develop equipment schedules, BOQs, material take-offs, and technical submittals.
Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and project stakeholders.
Review tender documents and prepare design proposals as per project requirements.
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards such as:
NFPA
NBC




FM Global
Local Fire Authority Regulations
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with clients and consultants.
Modify and update drawings based on site conditions and client requirements.
Support project execution teams with design clarifications and technical documentation.

Required Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory).
Knowledge of fire protection system design and hydraulic calculations.
Understanding of NFPA, NBC, and fire safety regulations.
Experience in preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Positive coordination and communication skills.
Knowledge of Revit MEP and BIM will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience
Experience in commercial buildings, data centers, hospitals, industrial facilities, warehouses, or high-rise projects.
Exposure to fire alarm system design software and hydraulic calculation software.
Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
