BCN plays a critical role in supporting Bain's case teams globally to help with subject matter expertise, analytics, and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

This is a full-time role based in Bain’s Gurugram (India) office and is part of the Performance Improvement Center of Expertise (PI CoE)

The PI CoE partners with Bain case teams globally to drive cost transformation and operational improvement programs across industries. The team supports a broad range of client engagements spanning: 1) Procurement optimization (spend analytics, category strategy, vendor strategy, procurement maturity assessment), 2) Supply chain optimization (inventory diagnostics, network optimization, manufacturing diagnostics, integrated business planning), 3) Working capital and cost diagnostics and post-merger integration and synergy analysis The team combines consulting problem-solving with advanced analytics and technology-enabled solutions, leveraging tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI to deliver actionable insights and scalable solutions. The PI CoE also plays a key role in developing Bain intellectual property, reusable toolkits, and next-generation AI/automation-enabled solutions, including practical applications of GenAI tools to accelerate diagnostics, improve insight generation, and scale repeatable delivery models

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Delivery & Problem Solving

- Lead end-to-end delivery of Procurement function optimization engagements




- Support Bain case teams in diagnosing client problems and deploying the most appropriate tools, methodologies, and solutions
- Analyze complex client data from ERP systems, budgeting platforms, and operation data sources to generate actionable insights
- Guide teams in developing client-ready deliverables including presentations, analytical models, dashboards, and visualizations
- Develop practical, data-driven recommendations focused on EBITDA improvement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency

Stakeholder & Team Management

- Build robust relationships with Bain and client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle
- Lead client meetings, working sessions, and workshops with senior leadership teams
- Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while ensuring alignment with broader project objectives
- Monitor project progress, proactively address risks and roadblocks, and provide updates to Bain leadership
- Mentor and develop team members through structured feedback, coaching, and apprenticeship

Capability Building & Innovation

- Collaborate with Bain Partners and experts on intellectual property development, proposals, go-to-market materials, and capability-building initiatives
- Partner with CoE leadership to enhance and scale existing solutions through advanced analytics, automation, and practical GenAI applications, including tools such as Claude and other AI-enabled platforms where relevant
- Identify opportunities to codify repeatable casework into reusable products, accelerators, diagnostics, and delivery assets

Quality & Operational Excellence

- Ensure high-quality, zero-defect deliverables across all workstreams
- Drive structured problem solving and hypothesis-based thinking across engagements
- Communicate insights effectively through compelling storytelling and executive-ready presentations




- Manage staffing and resource allocation across projects to optimize team effectiveness and development

ABOUT YOU

- Undergraduate degree with 8–11 years of relevant experience in consulting, operations/ cost transformation roles, or

- Postgraduate degree with 6–9 years of relevant experience in consulting, procurement/ operations/ cost transformation
- Build and apply deep expertise in cost optimization and EBITDA improvement programs, including diagnostics, value identification, initiative design, and implementation support
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication skills (ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders), stakeholder & team management and project management skills
- Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI
- Familiarity with AI, automation, GenAI tools such as Claude / ChatGPT, and/or Python is a plus, particularly where applied to analytics, workflow efficiency, knowledge synthesis, or solution development
- Exposure to procurement and supply chain systems such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, JDA, Llamasoft, or Optilogic is preferred
- Interest in building scalable solutions, reusable assets, or productized approaches that can improve speed, quality, and consistency of PI case delivery
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Strong collaboration and leadership orientation
