Role Overview

Our stores are how most customers meet Knya for the first time. A flickering light, a leaking washroom, a dead billing laptop or a trial room door that won't shut quietly costs us sales and it costs us trust. This role owns that. You will be the single point of contact for everything physical and technical across our stores PAN India, keeping every location running so the store team can focus on customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Own day to day upkeep of all Knya stores across India. Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, false ceiling, flooring, painting, glass, doors and hardware.
- Run first level diagnosis and on the spot fixes for electrical issues. Lighting, spotlights, MCBs, wiring faults, power backup, load balancing and DB panels.
- Handle plumbing issues end to end. Leakages, blockages, taps, water supply, washroom fittings and drainage.
- Look after air conditioning, ventilation, exhaust and water purifiers, including AMC upkeep and service scheduling.
- Provide basic IT support at store level. Billing laptops,



POS systems, printers, barcode scanners, Wi-Fi and router issues, CCTV and biometric attendance devices.
- Coordinate with the internal tech and IT teams when an issue needs to escalate, and close the loop with the store.
- Build and run a preventive maintenance calendar so problems are caught before a store manager has to report them.
- Log, track and close every store complaint with transparent turnaround times. Maintain a simple tracker showing open issues, ageing and cost.
- Identify, onboard and manage local vendors and technicians in every city we operate in, so any store can be attended to quickly.
- Negotiate quotes, verify work done, and process bills with Finance. Keep maintenance spend within budget and explain variances.
- Support new store openings and renovations. Site readiness checks, fit out coordination, signage, fixture installation and snag list closure.
- Own store safety and statutory upkeep. Fire extinguishers, emergency exits, first aid, electrical safety and periodic audits.
- Travel to stores across India as required for inspections, urgent breakdowns and new openings.
- Share a monthly maintenance report with Retail and HR covering issues raised, resolution time,



recurring problems and cost per store.

Must Haves
- 2 to 5 years of hands on maintenance or facility experience, ideally across a multi store retail, QSR or hospitality chain.
- Genuine hands on ability in electrical and plumbing work. You should be able to diagnose and fix, not only raise a ticket.
- Working knowledge of basic IT and hardware troubleshooting. Windows laptops, printers, networking, POS and CCTV.
- ITI, diploma or equivalent qualification in electrical, mechanical or a related trade.
- Willingness to travel PAN India at short notice, including on weekends when a store is down.
- Comfort with Excel, WhatsApp coordination and maintaining a written tracker. We work on data, not memory.
- Ownership mindset. You chase a problem till it is closed instead of handing it over.
- Ability to communicate clearly with store teams, vendors and the head office in Hindi and basic English.

Good to Have
- Experience setting up or fitting out new retail stores.
- Exposure to AMC contracts, vendor rate cards and maintenance budgeting.
- Familiarity with a ticketing or facility management tool.
- Knowledge of a regional language beyond Hindi, given our store spread across the South and East.
- Basic understanding of fire safety norms and shop and establishment compliance.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
