Wizard of HCM Private Limited is an independent HR technology education and training company. We design practical learning that connects finance reasoning, Workday configuration, transaction processing, controls, reporting, troubleshooting and measurable learner performance.

We are hiring a Lead Workday Financial Management Trainer to own the accounting spine and delivery quality of our live virtual Financials curriculum. This is a remote role based in India, with delivery in agreed cohort windows that may serve international learners. The right person can trace a transaction from source event through accounting and reporting, explain why the configuration behaves as it does and teach learners to validate and reconcile the outcome.

What you will own

- Own the approved curriculum, learning objectives, live demonstrations, guided configuration, finance scenarios, labs, assessments, rubrics, learner support and delivery quality.
- Teach both the Workday steps and the underlying accounting, control, data-model, security and reconciliation consequences.
- Create and maintain original or properly authorized lesson plans, case data, job aids, answer keys, instructor notes and release-aware references.
- Review learner evidence, diagnose misconceptions, coach transaction-to-ledger reasoning and use performance data to improve the programme.
- Validate demonstrations and tenant-specific behaviour before teaching, distinguish product concepts from one tenant’s configuration, thresholds or process choices.
- Protect credentials, learner and customer data, tenant access and intellectual property, use only approved, synthetic or sanitized examples.

Curriculum you must be able to teach

- Workday Financial Management platform and business-object context, companies, organizations and hierarchies, and the Financial Data Model, including ledgers/books, ledger accounts and account sets, worktags, defaults, related worktags and validations.
- Accounting Posting Rules, operational and manual journals, journal status, errors, corrections, reversals, validation and reconciliation.
- Record-to-Report: periods and close,



adjustments, allocations, intercompany, multicurrency, revaluation/translation, consolidation concepts, controls, auditability and financial reporting.
- Reporting, report data sources, business-object relationships, calculated fields, security-aware outputs and reconciliation.
- Domain and business-process security, constrained/segment-aware access, governance and segregation-of-duties awareness.
- Working end-to-end breadth across procure-to-pay, contracts-to-cash, cash/banking, business assets and budgets, plus EIB and functional integration literacy within the approved curriculum. However, teaching Integration concepts to prospective students will not be the trainer's responsibility. The trainer will assume familiarity with some integrations and techno-functional concepts.

Required experience and capability

- Deep hands-on Workday Core Financials/Record-to-Report experience, accounting fluency and meaningful evidence from at least one full-lifecycle deployment or equivalent configuration and production-support work.
- Robust candidates will typically bring 3+ years in Workday Financials and 5+ years across finance/ERP systems, with depth in FDM, accounting, close, reporting and at least one adjacent track such as P2P or C2C.
- Ability to reason through transaction-to-ledger impacts, worktag behaviour, validations, close controls, security and reconciliation.
- Evidence of live training, enablement, workshops or sustained mentoring, plus curriculum design, labs, assessment and precise learner feedback.
- Implementation and support habits across discovery, design, configuration, testing/UAT, data conversion, deployment, stabilization, documentation and release maintenance.
- Professional English,



reliable remote delivery setup and dependable availability for agreed cohort windows, preparation and learner review.

Preferred evidence

- Current or prior verifiable Workday Financials certification or a relevant Workday Pro track where eligible. Credentials support, but do not replace, practical evidence.
- A finance credential such as CA, CMA, CPA or ACCA, or an adult-learning credential, neither substitutes for Workday and teaching capability.
- A sanitized lesson plan, finance case, job aid, reconciliation exercise or assessment that you created or materially improved.

Selection process

- There will be at least 3 rounds. First round will be the initial screening round. Second round will be more practical oriented and will judge how you really perform under pressure. It will also test your personality, whether you think ethically or not, and whether you are genuinely interested in training others. Third round will be with Kalyani who will assess the mutual fit between your aspirations and the goals of our organization.
- Shortlisted applicants complete an evidence screen, functional interview, a 45–60-minute trainer audition and a 60–90-minute practical exercise. Examples include: Expect to teach a supplier-invoice-to-ledger scenario using worktags, Accounting Posting Rules, operational journals and reconciliation, then answer learner questions and reflect on your teaching choices.
