Role Purpose
Lead Havells' Solar Inverter Systems portfolio and drive end-to-end technical ownership of Grid-Tied (GTI), Hybrid, Off-Grid, and future inverter platforms. The role is responsible for product strategy, system architecture, technology selection, roadmap definition, launch readiness, technical governance, and delivery of competitive products aligned with business objectives.
The incumbent will act as the single technical owner for inverter systems and serve as the primary interface between Business Units, Technology Teams, Validation, Design, Supply Chain, and external development partners.
Key Responsibilities
Product & System Ownership
- Own the complete Solar Inverter portfolio including GTI, Hybrid, Off-Grid, and emerging inverter technologies.
- Define product vision, system architecture, and technical roadmaps aligned with market requirements.
- Translate customer and business requirements into product specifications and system-level requirements.
Program & Delivery Leadership
- Own technical readiness for all product launches.
- Ensure achievement of project milestones, quality targets,
cost objectives, and launch schedules.
- Lead cross-functional reviews involving Design, Validation, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Business teams.
External Development & Partner Management
- Lead outsourced development programs and ODM/OEM engagements.
- Define technical deliverables and governance mechanisms with external partners.
- Ensure protection of intellectual property and technical know-how.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Support field issue resolution and product improvement initiatives.
- Drive value engineering (VAVE) and cost optimization programs.
- Manage sustaining engineering activities across existing inverter platforms.
- Ensure compliance with BIS, BEE, IEC, UL and relevant international standards.
Capability Building
- Build and mentor a high-performing inverter systems team.
- Develop system engineering, architecture, and product leadership capabilities.
- Establish engineering best practices, design methodologies, and governance frameworks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary technical interface to Business Units.

Power Electronics Technology Team
Manufacturing & Quality Teams
Supply Chain & Procurement Teams
- Align technical roadmaps with commercial and operational objectives.
Qualification & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech/ M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in power electronics and renewable energy products.
- 5+ years leading end-to-end inverter or power conversion product development.
