Role Description The Laser Machine Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Laser Machine

Operator will set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting machines to process sheet and tube materials according to production drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include selecting and loading materials, adjusting machine settings, performing basic preventive maintenance, and ensuring safe operation of machinery and hand tools. The role involves inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality, documenting production data, coordinating with supervisors and team members,



and reporting any equipment or quality issues promptly.

Operator will also assist with continuous improvement activities to optimize cutting processes and reduce waste.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Machine Operation and working with industrial Machinery, particularly CNC laser cutting systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, including dimensional inspection, visual checks, and adherence to fabrication standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in protected use of Hand Tools and basic equipment maintenance in a fabrication environment.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, engineers, and production team members.
- Relevant technical qualification or diploma in mechanical, manufacturing, or related field is preferred.
- Experience in metal fabrication, laser cutting, or CNC production operations will be an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges) is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and readiness to work in shift-based production settings are expected.
