ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Juniper L3/L4 Support Engineer to join a high-performing network operations and support practice. This role is suited to a technically deep, customer-focused professional with 5–10 years of hands-on networking experience and a minimum of 3 years in a TAC or equivalent advanced support function. The successful candidate will own complex fault resolution, drive root cause analysis and serve as the escalation authority for high-priority incidents across Juniper-based enterprise and service provider environments.
This role demands a thorough command of Junos, spanning routing, MPLS, data centre and security platforms.

JNCIP-SP — Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (SP) (mandatory)

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES
● Serve as the L3/L4 escalation point for complex, high-priority incidents across Juniper routing, switching and security platforms.
● Perform structured troubleshooting, root cause analysis and document findings with clear, actionable resolution steps.
● Engage directly with Juniper JTAC on product defects, feature requests and escalation cases, driving cases to closure.
● Design and validate lab reproductions of customer issues to isolate faults and verify fixes prior to production deployment.
● Produce high-quality technical write-ups, known-error articles and post-incident reports for internal and customer consumption.
● Support and advise on network design reviews — identifying risks and proposing improvements aligned to best practice.
● Participate in planned maintenance windows, software upgrades and network change activities outside standard business hours.
● Contribute to knowledge base development; mentor L1/L2 engineers and deliver internal training sessions.
● Collaborate with architecture and pre-sales teams on complex solutions, sizing and customer onboarding.
● Maintain current knowledge of Junos software releases, security advisories and Juniper product roadmap.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS The following Juniper Networks certification is mandatory for this role:
● JNCIP-SP — Juniper Networks Certified Internet Qualified, Service Provider (mandatory).
Preferred / Highly Advantageous
● JNCIE-SP — Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert, Service Provider (hands-on lab exam)
Additional desirable qualifications: CCNP/CCIE (SP or Enterprise),
CISSP or equivalent vendor-neutral credentials.

TAC & ADVANCED SUPPORT EXPERIENCE A minimum of 3 years in a TAC or equivalent advanced technical support function is required. This experience should demonstrate:
● Ownership and resolution of P1/P2 incidents in production service provider or enterprise environments.
● Direct engagement with vendor TAC (Juniper JTAC or equivalent) for software defect escalation and workaround management.
● Lab reproduction and validation of complex, multi-vendor network faults.
● Authoring of detailed technical RCAs, known-error articles and customer-facing post-incident reports.
● Participation in change advisory board (CAB) processes and execution of high-risk network changes.
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
This is a fully remote position. The successful candidate is expected to maintain a professional, dedicated home workspace equipped with reliable, high-speed internet connectivity throughout all working hours. Standard core hours are 08:00–17:00 UTC+02:00; however, the nature of L3/L4 support requires flexibility — participation in after-hours maintenance windows and emergency support activities will be necessary from time to time.
Occasional travel to customer sites or company premises may also be required in support of project delivery or strategic engagements.
