Role Description The Junior Placement Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology campus in Thanjavur. The role involves coordinating campus placement activities, including scheduling recruitment drives, liaising with employers, and maintaining placement records.

Officer supports students with career counseling, resume preparation, interview readiness, and soft skills development, while organizing training sessions and workshops to enhance employability.



The role requires regular interaction with academic departments, industry partners, and students to ensure effective communication and alignment with placement goals.

Qualifications

- Skills in campus placement coordination and employer relationship management.
- Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, written, and verbal abilities.
- Experience or interest in career counseling, student guidance, and mentoring.
- Ability to plan and deliver training programs and workshops related to employability and professional development.
- Background or familiarity with education sector practices and student services.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; degrees in Management, Education, Human Resources, or related fields are an advantage.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and documentation, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with faculty, administrative staff, and external partners, and to engage positively with diverse student groups.
