Company Description: NIIT Foundation (NF) is a not-for-profit education society established by the promoters of NIIT in 2004, focused on expanding educational access and employability for underprivileged communities across India. NF operates skill development centres in urban and rural locations, offering training, digital and financial literacy, and placement support to eligible learners. The organisation partners with corporates and NGOs to deliver customised CSR projects, school and college programs, community initiatives, and digital empowerment interventions.

Through innovations such as Hole-in-the-Wall Learning Stations and capacity-building support to other NGOs, NF works to bridge the digital divide. Its programs reach a diverse beneficiary base ranging from children to older adults, roughly from 6 to 60 years of age.

Role Description: The IT Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bishnah, responsible for delivering high-quality technology training to learners from varied backgrounds. This role involves planning and conducting classroom and lab sessions, explaining IT concepts in a clear and accessible manner, and guiding learners through hands-on exercises on Windows and related applications. The IT Trainer will design and update training materials, support e-learning components, and assess learner progress through tests, assignments, and practical evaluations.

The role includes supporting learners with career readiness skills, maintaining training records and reports, and coordinating with centre staff to ensure smooth operations and adherence to NIIT Foundation’s training standards.



The IT Trainer is expected to foster an inclusive, learner-centric workplace and encourage participants to complete their courses and pursue employment or further education.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Information Technology skills, including basic hardware and software concepts, operating systems, and commonly used applications.
- Candidates should possess Training and Teaching skills to deliver interactive sessions, explain complex topics simply, and manage mixed-ability classrooms.
- Candidates should possess E-Learning and digital facilitation skills to use online platforms, digital content, and blended learning methods effectively.
- Candidates should possess practical Windows skills, including file management, system navigation, and use of productivity tools on the Windows operating system.
- Candidates should have good communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to engage learners from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Candidates should have strong classroom management, mentoring, and counselling abilities to motivate learners and support their career goals.
- Candidates should have basic reporting and documentation skills to maintain attendance, performance records, and training-related reports.
- A graduate degree in any discipline, preferably with a specialisation in IT, Computer Science, or Education, or a recognised IT certification, would be beneficial.
- Prior experience in vocational training, community teaching, or NGO/CSR projects, especially in under-resourced communities, would be an advantage.
