Job Title: IT Manager – Hardware & Infrastructure

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to oversee our company’s physical technology infrastructure, hardware deployment, and local network systems. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring, configuring, and maintaining all corporate hardware assets—including laptops, servers, and networking equipment—while ensuring core software systems, drivers, and device management tools run seamlessly. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between physical hardware management and foundational systems administration to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Core Responsibilities

- Procure, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals for all onboarding employees.
- cameras, servers and biometric machine installation as and when required
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date asset registry tracking the location, user, and lifecycle status of all physical hardware.
- Manage corporate office infrastructure, including conference room audio-visual (AV) setups, smart screens, and printers.
- Coordinate eco-friendly disposal, recycling, or trade-in programs for legacy hardware assets.

2. Network & Server Infrastructure

- Oversee the physical server room, managing rack configurations, cooling systems,



and Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS).
- Install, configure, and maintain physical routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Manage local storage arrays (NAS/SAN) and ensure physical data backup routines are executed flawlessly.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot hardware-related connectivity drops.

3. Systems Administration & Core Software

- Build, maintain, and deploy standardized operating system images (Windows/macOS) across company devices.
- Manage basic virtualization layers (VMware, Hyper-V) to optimize server hardware utilization.
- Utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf) to push software updates and enforce endpoint security policies.
- Keep hardware firmware, BIOS, and device drivers updated to mitigate security vulnerabilities.

4. Technical Support & Vendor Management

- Act as the escalation point for complex hardware failures, executing diagnostics and component replacements (RAM, storage, screens).
- Manage relationships with hardware vendors (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Apple) to handle warranty claims and bulk purchasing agreements.
- Supervise helpdesk staff or provide direct tier 1–3 support for local software issues, password resets, and productivity tool setups.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 5 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure roles, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Hardware Expertise: Deep knowledge of PC/Mac internal architecture, server rack mechanics, and enterprise networking hardware.
