Job Summary

Pinnacle Infotech is looking for a passionate Junior IoT Engineer to work on Industrial IoT, Smart Manufacturing, Building Automation, Energy Monitoring, and connected industrial solutions.

The role involves developing IoT applications and gateway software, integrating industrial devices, working with industrial communication protocols, processing real-time data, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and supporting IoT deployments at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain IoT applications and edge gateway software using Python.
- Integrate sensors, PLCs, energy meters, HVAC controllers, BMS systems, and other industrial devices.
- Work with industrial communication protocols such as:
- Modbus RTU
- Modbus TCP/IP
- MQTT
- BACnet IP
- OPC UA
- Develop Python-based applications for data acquisition, processing, and device communication.
- Develop and support REST API integrations between edge devices and cloud platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, RS-232, and RS-485 communication networks.
- Work with Linux-based edge devices such as Raspberry Pi and Industrial PCs.
- Perform device testing, debugging, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze communication logs and resolve device connectivity issues.
- Support customer deployments, site implementation, testing, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Customer Success teams.
- Prepare technical documentation and deployment guides.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of Python programming.
- Basic understanding of SQL and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems.




- Understanding of networking concepts including:
- TCP/IP
- Serial Communication
- RS-232
- RS-485
- Basic understanding of MQTT and industrial automation concepts.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Willingness to travel for project deployments when required.

- Information Technology (IT)
