Role Description This full-time, in office Interior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator role is based in Chennai and focuses on cost and quantity management for interior projects. The role involves preparing detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for commercial, residential, and other interior fit-out works.

The Interior Quantity

Surveyor/Estimator will monitor project costs, track variations, and support cost control throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with design, project management, procurement, and site teams.

Responsibilities include verifying contractor bills,



supporting tendering and bid evaluations, preparing cost reports, and assisting in budgeting and value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality. The role also requires maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and contributing to timely, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
- Candidates should possess experience in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs for interior and fit-out works.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Cost Planning to support budgeting, value engineering, and financial forecasting for projects.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Cost Reporting, including periodic project cost summaries, variance analysis, and management reports.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in interior contracting, fit-out projects, or construction cost estimation, preferably in commercial and residential sectors.
- Familiarity with industry-standard measurement and estimation practices, tendering processes, and contract management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant estimation/quantity surveying software; ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional project teams on-site.
