About the Role

Sycomp is seeking an Integration Center Engineer (Server & Rack Build) to join our Bangalore Integration Center and play a key role in delivering enterprise infrastructure solutions for global customers. As a hands-on engineering professional, you will work with leading server, storage, networking, and data center technologies, supporting projects from initial hardware assembly and integration through testing, validation, deployment, and customer delivery. You'll be part of a team that helps build and prepare critical IT infrastructure used by Fortune 500 organizations and global enterprises around the world.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working directly with enterprise hardware and physical infrastructure. You will be responsible for assembling and integrating servers, performing rack and stack activities, structured cabling, hardware diagnostics, quality assurance testing, and supporting deployment activities within a fast-paced Integration Center environment. Working closely with technical and operational teams, you will ensure customer solutions are built, configured, documented, and delivered to the highest standards while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality processes.





Key Responsibilities

- Assemble and integrate enterprise servers following established build procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Perform server configuration, firmware updates, diagnostics testing, cable routing, and system validation activities.
- Execute rack and stack deployments for servers, storage systems, network switches, and power distribution units (PDUs).
- Install and manage structured copper, fiber, DAC, and power cabling while adhering to approved rack layouts and industry best practices.
- Support operating system installation and deployment activities, including Linux, VMware, and Windows Server environments.
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, break-fix repairs, component replacement, RMA coordination, asset tagging, and quality assurance checks prior to shipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation for rack layouts, cable connectivity, port mapping, inventory records, and asset tracking.
- Assist with installation, configuration, patching, and basic troubleshooting of networking equipment and infrastructure.
- Conduct physical inspections, connectivity testing, system validation, and daily operational reporting.
- Ensure compliance with data center safety standards, ESD procedures, security policies, and access-control requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects on time and to customer specifications.
- Travel to customer sites, data centers, and colocation facilities as required to support deployment and implementation activities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in server deployment, rack integration, data center operations, or infrastructure deployment.
- Hands-on experience with rack & stack activities, server hardware,



structured cabling, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and enterprise server platforms.
- Understanding of network infrastructure and connectivity fundamentals.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and commitment to operational excellence.
- CCNA certification is an advantage.
