InfoMagnus is seeking a hands-on Practice Lead, Data & AI (India) to provide senior technical and delivery leadership across the India Data & AI organization. The role works in coordination with the VP, Data & AI, the Practice Technical Director in the United States, and the India General Manager.

Role-definition principle:

This is not a project-management or resource-management position. The successful candidate must remain a credible, hands-on solution architect and engineering leader who can personally improve complex Data & AI engagements.

Role Allocation:

25% - People leadership, delivery governance, hiring and mentoring : Coach Development Leads; provide indirect leadership to Project Leads; review project health; support escalations; participate in hiring; mentor technical talent; recommend development plans.

65% - Architecture, technical leadership and client delivery : Lead solution architecture; contribute to client delivery; review designs and code; establish technical direction; troubleshoot complex issues; support technical scope; improve delivery quality.

10% - Practice initiatives : Contribute to internal products, Innovation PODs, reusable IP, accelerators, engineering standards, reference architectures, technical playbooks and enablement.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise Data & AI engagements, from discovery and technical scoping through implementation and production readiness.
- Contribute directly to client projects as a senior architect and technical lead, including hands-on design, development, code review, troubleshooting, and delivery support.
- Review and improve architectures, data models, integration patterns, AI designs, security approaches, deployment strategies, and nonfunctional requirements.




- Provide technical direction across modern data platforms, cloud data engineering, analytics, machine learning, generative AI, RAG, and agentic solutions.
- Lead technical investigations for complex delivery, performance, data quality, reliability, and production issues.
- Directly lead and coach India Development Leads; provide indirect technical leadership to Project Leads and delivery teams.
- Participate actively in hiring, including role definition, technical interviews, case-study evaluation, evidence-based feedback, and hiring recommendations.
- Mentor architects, Development Leads, and engineers; identify skill gaps and recommend technical development, learning, certification, and stretch opportunities.
- Provide staffing and workforce recommendations to the VP, Data & AI while operational leadership and final resource-allocation decisions remain with the VP, Data & AI.

Required Qualifications :

- 15+ years of progressive experience in Data & AI engineering, architecture, consulting, or technical delivery, including significant recent hands-on responsibility.
- 5+ years leading senior technical teams, architects, Development Leads, or multi-team engineering delivery.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise data platforms, warehouses/lakehouses, integration solutions, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled applications.
- Demonstrated current ability to develop and review production SQL and Python, understand implementation details, evaluate code quality, and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Deep solution-architecture experience across cloud, data, integration, security, governance, reliability, and deployment concerns.
- Hands-on experience with at least two contemporary cloud data ecosystems such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, or GCP.
