About the role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced HVAC Design Engineer to join our Engineering team and contribute to the design and delivery of HVAC systems for complex pharmaceutical and industrial facilities. The role involves developing HVAC system concepts, airflow strategies, zoning philosophies, equipment selection, duct design, engineering calculations & estimations, BIM-based design coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality engineering deliverables, including HVAC zoning drawings, airflow diagrams, P&IDs;, layouts, cross discipline equipment integration, coordinated 3D models using industry-standard tools such as Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, BIM 360, and Navisworks. The role requires a strong understanding of HVAC fundamentals, cleanroom design principles, airflow management, hydronic systems, component selection, cross discipline interface knowledge, relevant industry standards, and BIM execution methodologies.

Working closely with global project teams, the candidate will support design development, interdisciplinary coordination, clash resolution, and project execution while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, project objectives, and engineering best practices. A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

How you might spend your days

As our new Advanced HVAC Engineer, you will:

· Design activities across all project phases (80-85%).





· Develop HVAC concepts, zoning strategies, and airflow philosophies.

· Design and size HVAC systems, ductwork, and hydronic piping networks.

· Own HVAC deliverables, including calculations, specifications, reports, layouts, and P&IDs.;

· Coordinate with Process, Architecture, Electrical, Automation, and other disciplines.

· Resolve technical challenges related to cleanrooms, containment, utilities, and energy efficiency.

· Support BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design reviews.

· Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, qualification, and troubleshooting.

· Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, project standards, and industry codes.

· Contribute to proposals through technical inputs, concepts, and cost estimates.

· Review engineering deliverables and provide technical guidance.

· Mentor and support the development of junior engineers (5-10%).

· Develop and improve HVAC standards, tools, and best practices.

· Share technical knowledge and lessons learned across projects.

· Stay current with HVAC technologies, sustainability trends, and digital engineering tools.

· Support business development by identifying opportunities and engaging with clients.

you will develop innovative engineering solutions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical and life science facilities.

What you bring to the role In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

· You have a degree in engineering (BE/Btech in mechanical engineering) or equivalent.

· Pharma facility know-how would be preferrable.

· You have minimum 4-5 years of experience in system sizing, estimations, preparation of specifications, components selection and hands on knowledge on GEP & standards applicable.

· Project experience from Basic Design, Detailed Design, Construction, Commissioning/Qualification, and Handover

· Fluent in English, both spoken and written

· Team player

· Passionate about your technical discipline

· Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced project environment
