Role Description The Gym Trainer is a full-time, in office role based at Merlis Hotels in Coimbatore.

The Gym

Trainer will guide guests through safe and effective workout routines, including personalized exercise plans and group fitness sessions. Daily tasks include demonstrating proper use of gym equipment, monitoring guest workouts, and providing fitness assessments. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized gym environment, enforcing safety standards, and offering basic guidance on healthy lifestyle habits.

Trainer will collaborate with hotel staff to support guest experience, respond to guest inquiries, and promote gym services as part of the hotel’s wellness offerings.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction to design and supervise effective workout programs.
- Experience in Circuit Training and Sports Coaching to support varied fitness levels and group activities.
- Knowledge of Nutrition principles to provide general guidance on healthy habits aligned with fitness goals.
- Relevant certification in fitness training, personal training, or sports coaching from a recognized body.
- Ability to demonstrate exercises safely, with attention to injury prevention and guest comfort.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with diverse guests and colleagues.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability in an on-site hospitality environment.
- Prior experience working as a gym trainer, fitness instructor, or in a similar role is preferred.
