Role Overview
We are looking for a Group Product Manager (GPM) to lead product strategy. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building scalable, reliable and customer-centric platforms that power commerce journeys across multiple channels and markets.
The role will own the product vision and roadmap across core commerce platforms, payment capabilities, integrations, and platform services, ensuring they are scalable, secure, resilient and designed to support evolving business needs.
You will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Design, Data, Security, Finance, Operations and senior business stakeholders to drive transformation from fragmented legacy ecosystems to modern, API-first and highly scalable platforms.
The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership with deep technical understanding, has experience operating at significant B2C scale, and can move seamlessly between long-term product strategy and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Platform & Payments Product Strategy
- Define and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Platform & Payments, aligned with overall business and commerce objectives.
- Establish clear product outcomes and success metrics across conversion, payment success rate, customer experience, platform adoption, reliability, cost efficiency and operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and modernize complex platform and payment ecosystems.
- Balance customer experience, business priorities, technical investments, regulatory requirements and operational considerations.
Build the Next-Generation Platform
- Lead the evolution of platform capabilities from 0-to-1 and 1-to-100, creating reusable and scalable services that can power multiple products, channels and markets.
- Drive the transformation from fragmented legacy environments toward a modern, unified, API-first and highly scalable architecture in partnership with Engineering and Architecture.
- Define product principles around platform reusability, modularity, scalability, resilience and interoperability.
- Ensure platform capabilities are designed as products with clear consumers, adoption metrics, SLAs and roadmaps.
Own Payments Product Evolution
- Define and execute the product strategy for the end-to-end payments ecosystem, including payment orchestration, payment methods, gateways, processors, refunds, settlements and related capabilities.
- Drive improvements in payment success, authorization rates, conversion, reliability and customer experience.
- Evaluate and prioritize integrations with payment providers, banks, wallets and emerging payment technologies.
- Partner with Finance, Risk, Fraud, Security and Compliance teams to ensure payment products balance growth, cost, risk and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to improve payment operations, customer experience and platform efficiency.
Technical & Architectural Product Leadership
- Demonstrate strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, microservices, data models, integrations and distributed systems.
- Partner closely with Engineering leaders to make informed trade-offs between speed, scalability, reliability and technical debt.
- Challenge technical approaches and estimates where required, ensuring product decisions support long-term platform scalability.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear product outcomes and business value.
- Maintain a strong understanding of platform dependencies, technical risks and architectural evolution.
Lead a High-Performance Product Organization
- Build, mentor and scale a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners.
- Set a high bar for product thinking, customer obsession, execution excellence and data-driven decision making.
- Develop product talent through hands-on coaching, structured feedback and clear career paths.
- Establish strong product practices around discovery, prioritization, roadmap management, experimentation and outcome measurement.
- Create an environment of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
- Attract and retain high-caliber product talent and build a strong product culture.
Drive Cross-Functional & Multi-Geo Alignment
- Act as a senior product leader across Engineering, Architecture, Design, Data, Finance, Operations, Security, Risk and Business teams.
- Drive alignment across multiple geographies, business units and stakeholder groups.
- Navigate complex organizational environments and competing priorities while maintaining clarity on product outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with senior leadership and communicate product strategy effectively at executive level.
- Balance global platform standards with market-specific business and regulatory requirements.
Hands-on Product Execution
- Remain close to the details of the highest-impact initiatives rather than operating purely at a strategic level.
- Lead product discovery, define requirements, prioritize roadmaps and drive execution for complex platform and payment capabilities.
- Use data, customer insights and business metrics to continuously evaluate product performance.
- Identify and remove execution bottlenecks, manage dependencies and ensure delivery against measurable outcomes.
- Be comfortable moving from an executive strategy discussion to a detailed product, API or architecture conversation with Engineering teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile

- Proven experience managing and scaling multiple product teams or product managers in a high-growth or large-scale technology environment.
