Key Responsibilities

1. Finance Controlling

- Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations across the organization.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, annual operating plans, and long-range financial planning.
- Drive cost control, profitability improvement, and working capital optimization.
- Monitor cash flow, treasury, banking relationships, and funding requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Strengthen internal financial controls, governance, and enterprise risk management.
- Develop MIS dashboards and provide actionable financial insights to the CFO and business leaders.

2. Business Partnering

- Support the CFO in strategic decision-making and financial planning.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Commercial, HR, and Operations to improve business performance.
- Evaluate business cases, capital expenditure proposals, pricing decisions, localization initiatives, and investment opportunities.
- Monitor plant performance, inventory, product profitability, and operational KPIs.

3. Strategic Projects Lead and execute high-impact strategic initiatives, including:

- ERP upgrades, and finance digitization.
- Business transformation and process excellence initiatives.
- Automation of finance and operational processes.
- Cost reduction and productivity improvement programs.
- Working capital transformation projects.
- Manufacturing cost optimization initiatives.
- Financial due diligence for acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
- Business restructuring and organizational transformation.
- New plant, current business, or expansion project financial governance.

4. Leadership & Governance

- Function as the second-in-command to the CFO.
- Represent the CFO in meetings with business heads, auditors, banks, consultants, and external stakeholders when required.
- Lead and mentor finance teams across Accounting, Treasury, Taxation, MIS, Costing, Commercial Finance, and Compliance.
- Build a high-performance finance organization focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- MBA (Finance) or CMA will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 15–20 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a Finance Controller, Head of Finance, or Senior Finance Leadership role.
- Experience in the automotive, auto component, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors is essential.
- Proven experience in plant finance, costing, budgeting, treasury, taxation, compliance, ERP implementation, and business transformation.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
