AtomFlo is building an AI-native Work Operating System that brings Projects, Chat, Documents, CRM, Communication, Marketing, Automation, and other business workflows together in one unified platform.

Our goal is to eliminate fragmented business tools and give modern teams one intelligent platform to run their entire business.

We are currently building our founding engineering team and are looking for a Backend Engineer who wants to take ownership, work closely with the CTO and product team, and help build AtomFlo from the ground up.

About the Role

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the user-facing web application for AtomFlo.

This is not a traditional maintenance role. You will be involved in building new product features, creating reusable frontend architecture, integrating APIs, solving complex UI problems, and improving application performance and usability.

You should be comfortable working independently, understanding product requirements, making practical technical decisions, and collaborating with the CTO and Product team to deliver production-quality features.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable, maintainable frontend features using React and TypeScript.
- Translate Figma designs, PRDs, and product requirements into high-quality user experiences.
- Build reusable components and establish consistent frontend patterns.
- Integrate REST APIs and manage loading, error, and empty states effectively.
- Work closely with Backend Engineers to define and consume API contracts.
- Implement authentication, permissions, and role-aware user experiences.
- Manage frontend state and application data efficiently.
- Optimise application performance, responsiveness, and usability.
- Write maintainable and testable frontend code.




- Debug complex frontend issues and identify root causes.
- Participate in architecture and technical discussions with the CTO and engineering team.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews.
- Maintain frontend documentation and technical standards.
- Identify technical debt and proactively recommend improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, AI, and other engineering team members.
- Contribute to establishing scalable frontend architecture as AtomFlo grows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 4–6 years of professional frontend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in React.js.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.
- Experience building production-grade web applications.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and frontend/backend integration.
- Experience with frontend state management and modern React patterns.
- Strong Git/GitHub experience and familiarity with collaborative development workflows.
- Experience debugging and optimising frontend applications.
- Experience writing maintainable, reusable, and testable code.
- Ability to independently own frontend features from requirements through development, testing, and delivery.

Working Commitment

During the pre-investment stage:

- Expected contribution: 3–5 hours per day.
- Initial engagement: 6–12 months.
- Consistent contribution and ownership are expected.
- Work will be planned around defined product and engineering priorities.
- You will work closely with the CTO and engineering team.
- The role is intended to transition to full-time employment after AtomFlo secures investment, subject to mutual agreement and the company's hiring plan.

ESOP-Based Compensation

This is an ESOP-based opportunity during AtomFlo's pre-investment stage.

- ESOP allocation will be determined based on experience, technical expertise, responsibilities, and expected long-term contribution.
- ESOP terms, vesting, cliff, and applicable conditions will be documented separately.
- The ESOPs are intended to provide meaningful long-term ownership in AtomFlo.
- Following successful investment, the role is intended to transition to a full-time paid position.
- Salary and full-time compensation will be discussed as part of the transition to the funded stage.
