Client/Role Overview

We are building a performance-focused footwear brand that combines material science, ergonomic design and biomechanics to create high-comfort, durable and India-specific performance footwear.

With a focus on data-driven product development, advanced sole structures, sustainable materials and local manufacturing, the company is positioned for strong domestic growth, export opportunities and long-term value creation.

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to join the founding team and help build the financial foundation for the company's next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in line with business and growth objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, MIS, financial planning and management reporting.
- Own cash-flow planning and working capital management across manufacturing, procurement, inventory, logistics and D2C operations.
- Manage product costing, inventory valuation, landed cost calculations, margins and pricing analysis.
- Oversee procurement payments, vendor financing and supplier-related financial processes.
- Manage the finance and compliance aspects of import-export operations, including customs, duties, DGFT and related documentation.




- Develop financial models and provide business insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Monitor P&L;, cost structures, profitability and key business metrics.
- Establish internal controls, risk-management processes and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Manage GST, TDS, income tax, statutory compliance and other applicable financial regulations.
- Support fundraising activities, investor reporting, banking relationships, audits and financial due diligence.
- Partner with founders and business teams on commercial and financial decisions.
- Build, manage and develop the finance team as the organization scales.
- Drive improvements in ERP, financial reporting, controls and finance processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 6–10 years of overall finance experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance leadership/managerial role.
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer brands, retail, e-commerce, D2C or other physical-product businesses preferred.
- Hands-on experience with import-export finance, customs, duties, DGFT or global supply-chain finance.
- Strong experience in P&L; management, cash-flow management and working capital.
- Experience with product costing, inventory costing and landed-cost calculations.
- Robust understanding of GST, TDS, income tax and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MIS reporting and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical, commercial and business-partnering skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and scaling environment.
