Role Description The Film Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for curating, evaluating, and supporting film and video content across the Pixel Comet platform. In this position, the specialist reviews submitted projects, provides creative and technical feedback to creators, and helps ensure films meet quality, format, and metadata standards. The role includes collaborating with creators on showcasing their work, assisting with programming collections and thematic playlists,



and contributing written synopses, loglines, and promotional copy.

The Film

Specialist will also track performance metrics, identify promising projects for promotion, and partner with internal teams to improve the creator experience and viewer engagement.

Qualifications

- Film and video creation skills, including Video Production and Film Production experience.
- Experience working with non-fiction formats such as Documentaries.
- Strong storytelling abilities, including Writing for synopses, descriptions, and promotional materials.
- Visual media skills such as Photography that support promotional assets and creator materials.
- Knowledge of independent film and digital distribution landscapes.
- Attention to detail in reviewing content, technical specifications, and metadata.
- Ability to work collaboratively with creators and cross-functional remote teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Studies, Communications, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with streaming platforms, content management systems, or online marketplaces is a plus.
