Role Description The Executive Social Media role is a full-time, on-site position based at SRMIST in Chennai. The role involves planning, creating, and managing content for official social media platforms to enhance the institute’s brand visibility and engagement.

Responsibilities include developing and executing social media campaigns, monitoring performance metrics, and optimizing content based on analytics. The executive will coordinate with internal departments to gather updates, craft timely communications, and ensure consistent messaging. Day-to-day tasks also include responding to online queries, supporting media initiatives, and staying current with social media trends relevant to higher education.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) for campaign execution and audience growth.




- Candidates should possess skills in Media Planning to design and schedule effective social and digital media activities.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication and Writing skills for clear, engaging, and accurate content creation.
- Experience managing institutional or brand social media accounts and familiarity with major platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube) is beneficial.
- Ability to analyze social media metrics, use content and scheduling tools, and adapt strategies based on performance insights is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams are beneficial.
