Role Description The Entry Level Banking Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based in India, designed for individuals starting their careers in the banking industry. The associate will support daily branch operations, including assisting customers with account opening, deposits, withdrawals, and basic inquiries, while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Responsibilities include handling routine transactions, updating customer information, supporting sales of banking products, and adhering to internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
The role involves coordinating with team members to resolve customer issues, preparing reports as required, and ensuring a professional and customer-centric experience at the branch. The associate will also participate in ongoing training and performance reviews to build skills in banking operations, compliance, and relationship management.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse clients and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess basic financial awareness, numerical aptitude, and an understanding of banking products and services, or a willingness to learn these quickly.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and organizational skills to manage transactions and records responsibly.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office tools, basic computer literacy, and the ability to work with core banking systems after training.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving abilities, integrity, and a high level of reliability in handling confidential information and cash-related tasks.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, economics, finance, or a related field are preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work on-site in India, adapt to structured processes, and meet performance and compliance standards set by partner banks and IPB.
