About the Role
This is a founding Enterprise Platform Engineer role at a fast-growing AI developer tools company building infrastructure that enables AI agents to interact with thousands of production-grade applications. You'll architect and deliver the core platform primitives — governance, security, multi-tenancy, and extensibility — that enterprises depend on to deploy AI agents at scale. The work you do here will directly shape how mission-critical automation is built and governed across large organizations.
What You'll Do
- Define governance, observability, and control planes for enterprise AI agent ecosystems.
- Build a secure, reliable integration gateway connecting AI agents to external systems and APIs.
- Develop platform primitives such as multi-tenancy, isolation, and extensibility designed for enterprise scale.
- Architect deployment-adaptable, compliance-ready infrastructure with first-class security capabilities.
- Transform enterprise onboarding from a services-led process into a repeatable, self-serve product experience.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years in backend or platform engineering building production-grade infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a platform or infrastructure engineering role.
- Proven experience designing and operating distributed, multi-tenant systems with high availability and scalability.
- Strong expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure),
Kubernetes and container orchestration in production, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience building enterprise-grade authentication and authorization (OAuth2, SAML, SSO, service accounts) and secure service-to-service auth.
- Experience integrating with third-party SaaS APIs, including handling retries, rate limits, idempotency, and error handling.
- Proficiency with observability and distributed tracing tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and defining SLOs/SLIs.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps practices, and automated deployment pipelines for platform services.
- Familiarity with enterprise compliance and security requirements such as SOC 2 and GDPR.
- Hands-on experience with AI products, agent architectures, or MCP is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage directly with enterprise customers.
- Background in early-stage or founding engineering teams with a track record of shaping product and technical direction.
