We are looking for an Engineering Manager with strong Calypso development expertise to lead the design, development, and delivery of strategic initiatives within a global Capital Markets environment. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can drive architecture, development standards, team management, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring high-quality delivery of Calypso-based solutions across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office functions.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of Calypso developers and technical specialists.

- Drive end-to-end delivery of Calypso enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and transformation initiatives.

- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for Calypso development and customization.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to define and deliver solutions.

- Oversee application design, code reviews, development best practices, and quality standards.

- Manage project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery timelines.

- Support production stability, issue resolution, and continuous platform improvements.

- Mentor team members and foster technical growth, collaboration, and innovation.

- Work closely with global teams across multiple regions and time zones.

- Drive Agile delivery practices and contribute to strategic technology roadmaps.

Skills

Must have





- 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets technology with extensive hands-on Calypso development experience.

- Solid expertise in Calypso architecture, customization, workflows, business events, and integrations.

- Experience working across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Trade Processing functions.

- Strong Java development skills with experience in enterprise application development.

- Experience with Calypso upgrades, platform enhancements, and large-scale implementations.

- Solid understanding of Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Money Markets, and other Capital Markets products.

- Proven experience leading development teams and managing technical delivery.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Nice to have

- Experience with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices.

- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

- Experience with SQL, Oracle, and performance optimization.

- Exposure to regulatory reporting and risk management platforms.

- Prior experience managing distributed global teams.

- Knowledge of integration technologies and enterprise messaging frameworks.

- Experience in Calypso migration, modernization, or transformation programs.

- Exposure to other Capital Markets platforms and vendor solutions.
