About the Role

Novota Thermotech is looking for an experienced Energy Manager – BEE Certified to lead energy audits and energy-efficiency assessments across energy-intensive industries.

The role will involve conducting in office energy audits of furnaces, ovens, kilns, boilers and other high-temperature industrial equipment, identifying energy-saving opportunities, quantifying potential fuel savings and developing techno-commercial recommendations for thermal management solutions.

The candidate will also work directly with industrial customers and play an important role in demonstrating the technical and financial benefits of Novota's thermal management coating solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Industrial Thermal Energy Audits

- Conduct detailed thermal energy audits of industrial furnaces, ovens, kilns, boilers and other thermal process equipment.
- Assess fuel consumption, operating temperatures, heat losses, combustion efficiency, flue gas parameters and overall thermal efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for reduction of fuel consumption and thermal losses.
- Carry out energy balance and heat-loss calculations for industrial processes.
- Prepare technical thermal energy audit reports with practical recommendations.

- Thermal Management Coating Assessments

- Evaluate furnaces, kilns, ovens and refractory surfaces for application of Novota's thermal management coatings.
- Develop technical methodologies to estimate potential fuel savings following coating application.
- Perform before-and-after energy performance calculations and analyse operating data.
- Calculate potential fuel savings, monetary savings,



reduction in CO₂ emissions and indicative payback periods.
- Support pilot projects and POCs and establish appropriate performance measurement methodologies.

- Client Interaction & Site Visits

- Independently conduct customer site visits across India for energy audits and technical assessments.
- Interact directly with plant heads, energy managers, maintenance teams, production teams and other technical stakeholders.
- Understand customer processes and operational challenges and translate them into energy-efficiency opportunities.
- Present audit findings, calculations and recommendations to customers.
- Support technical discussions and commercial proposals with customers.

- Technical & Commercial Support

- Prepare energy-saving calculations and techno-commercial proposals.
- Develop ROI, payback and CO₂ reduction calculations for proposed solutions.
- Support the sales team during technical presentations and customer meetings.
- Provide technical inputs for proposals, case studies and project reports.
- Coordinate with application and project teams during implementation and performance monitoring.

Industries of Focus Experience in one or more of the following energy-intensive industries will be highly preferred:
- Iron & Steel
- Aluminium and Non-Ferrous Metals
- Cement
- Glass
- Chemical & Fertiliser
- Foundries and Metal Processing
- Power & Utilities
- Other process industries involving high-temperature thermal equipment

Required Technical Skills The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of:
- Industrial thermal energy auditing
- Furnace, kiln and oven energy efficiency




- Combustion and fuel systems
- Heat transfer and thermal losses
- Refractory systems and thermal insulation
- Fuel consumption analysis
- Energy balance and heat balance calculations
- Flue gas and combustion analysis
- Thermography and temperature measurement
- CO₂ emission calculations
- Energy-saving and ROI/payback calculations
- Excel-based engineering calculations and data analysis

Knowledge of high-emissivity coatings, thermal insulation coatings, refractory technology and industrial heat recovery will be an added advantage.

- Willingness to travel frequently to industrial plants

Preferred Experience The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial energy audits, preferably with an energy consultancy, ESCO, engineering company, manufacturing organisation or energy-efficiency solutions provider. Experience conducting audits of furnaces, kilns, ovens or other high-temperature thermal systems will be particularly valuable.
