Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Transformer Test Engineer to handle electrical testing and inspection of distribution and power transformers. The candidate should have practical knowledge of transformer testing procedures, testing equipment, safety requirements, and relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine and type tests on transformers as per applicable standards and customer requirements.
- Perform tests such as Insulation Resistance, Winding Resistance, Ratio Test, Polarity/Vector Group, No-Load Loss, Load Loss, Impedance, and HV tests.
- Prepare and maintain transformer test reports and test records.
- Operate and maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to identify and resolve testing-related issues.
- Ensure transformers meet specified technical and quality requirements before dispatch.




- Follow electrical safety procedures during testing.
- Support inspection by Government boards , customers, third-party inspectors and other authorities.
- Maintain proper documentation as per the company's QMS/ISO requirements.
- Troubleshoot abnormal test results and assist in corrective actions.

Preferred Skills
- Practical experience in transformer testing/manufacturing.
- Knowledge of distribution/power transformers.
- Familiarity with IS/IEC standards related to transformers.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and transformer test specifications.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of testing instruments and electrical safety.
- Ability to work independently as well as with the production and quality teams.

Preferred CandidateDiploma Electrical/EEE candidates with 1–5 years of hands-on transformer testing experience are preferred. Freshers with solid practical knowledge may also be considered. Salary: As per experience and industry standards.
