Role Description The Electrical Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Udumalaippettai, responsible for the technical design and execution of solar power projects. This role includes developing electrical designs and layouts for rooftop and ground-mounted systems, preparing single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.

The Electrical Project

Engineer coordinates with project managers, site teams, and vendors to ensure timely installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in line with safety and quality standards.



Daily activities involve reviewing power system studies, overseeing power distribution schemes, resolving technical issues at site, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, supporting cost estimates, and contributing to continuous improvement in design and project delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical knowledge of electricity and its application in industrial and commercial settings.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design for solar and power projects, including system layout, component selection, and technical documentation.
- Experience working with Power Systems and Power Distribution networks, including load analysis, protection coordination, and grid integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with solar PV systems, relevant standards, and safety practices in electrical installations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, use design and simulation software, and prepare transparent reports and presentations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams on site.
- Experience in EPC or renewable energy projects is an advantage, along with knowledge of Indian electrical codes and regulations.
