Education & Background

- B.Tech or above; one of: Automation, Measurement & Control, Instrumentation, Chemical Instrumentation; Electrical Engineering, Automation, Power Systems, High-Voltage Technology; Mechanical Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Chemical Machinery, Welding Technology.
- Combined fluorochemical-process plus I&E;/mechanical knowledge is a strong plus — you'll grasp corrosion, explosion-proof, and precision needs for R32/R134a equipment.

Experience

- Fluorochemical I&E;/electrical/mechanical management; solid on DCS/PLC, explosion-proof electrical, and strong-corrosion equipment repair.
- Has led instrument-system upgrades, explosion-proof electrical retrofits, and mechanical anti-corrosion systems.
- 5+ years in fluorochemicals; full-lifecycle I&E;/electrical/mechanical management and major system retrofits; has built equipment systems for 10,000-tonne-class sites.
- Fluorochemicals/fine-chemicals background preferred; knows solid-corrosion, flammable, and high-temperature/high-pressure risks plus instrument explosion-proofing, electrical grounding, and mechanical corrosion control.

Core Competencies

• Fluorochemical risk control:

(1) Instruments — addresses HF-corroded probes, DCS signal distortion, and explosion-proof instrument failure; specifies PTFE-lined probes, Hastelloy transmitters, explosion-proof calibration, and redundancy. (

2) Electrical — addresses R32-leak ignition, cable-insulation failure from corrosion, and grounding-system corrosion; sets explosion-proof inspection, cable corrosion control, and ground-resistance monitoring.

(3) Mechanical — addresses reactor corrosion leaks, seal failure,



and corroded tools; defines corrosion-repair methods, seal selection, and tool corrosion management.

• Leadership: runs instrument, electrical, and mechanical teams (engineers, technicians, mechanics); aligns maintenance with production schedule and safety compliance against downtime vs. continuous production.

- Cost control: builds annual budgets (explosion-proof instruments, electrical anti-corrosion materials, mechanical spares); uses preventive maintenance, domestic substitution, and vendor competition to hit instrument failure rate ≤ X%, electrical downtime ≤ Y hours/year, and mechanical cost ≤ Z CNY/tonne of product.
- Technical & emergency: leads DCS upgrades, explosion-proof electrical retrofits, and mechanical anti-corrosion build-out; responds fast to DCS outages, electrical fires, and corrosion leaks.

Skills

• Instruments: DCS/PLC (Honeywell, Yokogawa, Siemens), explosion-proof instruments (pressure transmitters, flow meters, analyzers), online analyzers (FID, DO); performs calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

- Electrical: explosion-proof motors/switches/instruments, high-voltage distribution, grounding, UPS; performs inspections, emergency repairs, and explosion-proof certification.
- Mechanical: mechanical repair of fluorination reactors, distillation columns, and compressors; anti-corrosion work (PTFE lining, coatings); seal replacement; performs disassembly, coating application, and precision alignment.
- General: Excel and EAM; uses TPM and RCM to trend failure rates, repair cost, and OEE.

Nice to Have

- Registered Electrical Engineer (power supply/transmission), Registered Automation Engineer, or Welding Engineer (chemicals).
- Led major system retrofits (DCS upgrades, explosion-proof electrical, mechanical anti-corrosion) or emergency-system build-out (electrical-fire drills, corrosion-leak response) at a fluorochemicals site.
