Position Name: ECCE Coordinator
No. of Positions: 1
Job type: Contractual for 1-year, renewable basis project requirements.
Reporting to: Project Manager / Deputy Manager- Programme.
Job Summary:
The ECCE Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and strengthening Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) interventions across Anganwadi Centres. The role will focus on enhancing the quality of preschool education, supporting Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), facilitating community engagement, and ensuring effective implementation of project activities in alignment with ICDS guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation
- - Coordinate and oversee ECCE activities across all project-supported Anganwadi Centres.
- Support implementation of age-appropriate, play-based learning methodologies.
- Ensure effective utilization of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs), ECCE kits, and play materials.
- Facilitate the integration of ECCE curriculum and daily activity plans in Anganwadi Centres.
- Coordinate and monitor minor infrastructure improvement activities in Anganwadi Centres, including toilet repairs, kitchen improvements, painting, and centre beautification.
Capacity Building
- - Organize and conduct training and refresher sessions for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers.
- Provide regular mentoring and on-site support to Anganwadi staff.
- Develop training plans, learning resources, and orientation materials.
Monitoring & Quality Assurance
- - Conduct regular field visits to monitor the quality of ECCE services.
- Assess classroom environment, child participation, and learning outcomes.
- Maintain project records, progress reports, and monitoring dashboards.
- Document best practices, success stories, and lessons learned.
Community Engagement
- - Organize parent meetings, awareness sessions, and community mobilization activities.
- Promote parental involvement in early childhood development and education.
- Coordinate with local stakeholders, PRI members, and community groups.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- - Liaise with ICDS officials, CDPOs,
Supervisors, and Anganwadi Workers.
- Support project reviews, government meetings, and field assessments.
- Ensure compliance with project guidelines and reporting requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
- Support baseline, endline, and impact assessment activities.
- Maintain data related to attendance, training, infrastructure improvements, and learning outcomes.
Qualification & Experience
Essential
- - Master’s degree in education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ECCE, education, child development, ICDS, or community-based programs.
- Experience in training and capacity building of frontline workers.
Preferred
- - Experience working with ICDS, Anganwadi Centres, or NGO-led education projects.
- Knowledge of National Education Policy (NEP 2020), NIPUN Bharat, and ECCE Framework.
- Familiarity with monitoring and reporting tools.
Skills Required
- - Solid training and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Project planning and coordination skills.
- Report writing and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel extensively within the project area.
