Position Overview A Chauffeur for Tour Groups provides safe, skilled transportation services to tourists and holidaymakers visiting various destinations. This role combines skilled driving with excellent customer service, ensuring passengers have a comfortable and memorable experience while exploring new locations.
Key Responsibilities Transportation & Route Management:
- Safely operate and maneuver passenger vehicles (coaches, minibuses, or luxury vans) on assigned routes
- Transport tour groups to multiple destinations according to planned itineraries
- Plan optimal routes considering traffic, road conditions, and time schedules
- Adhere to departure and arrival times with precision
- Navigate unfamiliar locations using GPS and route knowledge
- Handle vehicle parking and positioning at tour sites
Passenger Care & Service:
- Welcome passengers warmly and ensure their comfort throughout journeys
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling
- Provide informative and engaging commentary about landmarks, attractions, and regions
- Accommodate special needs or requests from tour group members
- Maintain professional demeanor and dress code at all times
- Handle passenger inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously
- Ensure accessibility for elderly, disabled, or mobility-challenged passengers
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:
- Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections (brakes, lights, tire pressure, fluids, wipers)
- Report mechanical issues immediately and arrange repairs
- Maintain a clean, hygienic vehicle interior and exterior
- Keep vehicle stocked with emergency supplies and first-aid kit
- Follow all traffic laws, speed limits, and safety regulations
- Implement defensive driving techniques to minimize accidents
- Maintain valid insurance and documentation
Professional Standards:
- Maintain accurate logbooks and trip records
- Report incidents or accidents promptly
- Communicate effectively with tour operators and office staff
- Coordinate with hotel staff, guides, and other service providers
- Handle passenger complaints diplomatically
- Represent the tour company professionally at all times
Required Qualifications Licenses :
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (or equivalent in your country)
- Clean driving record with no serious violations
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years professional driving experience
- 2 years experience driving passenger vehicles or tour buses
- Proven experience with tour groups or hospitality transportation
- Knowledge of local or regional attractions and routes
- Experience managing diverse passenger groups
Skills:
- Excellent safe driving abilities under various conditions

- Basic mechanical/vehicle knowledge
