Position Overview
MIT-ADT University invites visionary academic leaders to apply for the position of Director to oversee and lead our key management and computing entities:
- UG: School of Business & Computer Applications (SOB & CA)
- PG: College of Management & Computer Applications (COM & CA)
- Online/Distance: Centre of Distance and Online Education (CDOE)
The Director will steer academic excellence, industry integration, distance-learning scale, research innovation, and institutional accreditation (NAAC, NIRF, UGC-DEB) across the three verticals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership & Curriculum Innovation
- Program Alignment: Drive curriculum development for BBA, BCA, B.Com (UG) and MBA, MCA (PG) to mirror modern industry demands (AI in Business, FinTech, Analytics, Cloud Computing).
- Digital & Distance Learning Strategy: Lead CDOE initiatives by expanding Online/Distance Learning (ODL) offerings, ensuring UGC-DEB compliance, LMS integration, and high student engagement.
- Faculty Excellence: Mentor, recruit, and retain top academic talent, building a culture focused on experiential teaching and research productivity.
2. Industry Collaboration & Placements
- Corporate Partnerships: Build strategic ties with Fortune 500 companies, Tech Majors, and startups for guest lectures, industry projects, and corporate training.
- Placement & Internship Support: Work with the University Placement Cell to ensure high-value job placements and internship opportunities for UG & PG cohorts.
- Incubation & Entrepreneurship:
Encourage student innovation by connecting programs with the University’s Atal Incubation Centre (AIC).
3. Accreditation, Regulatory & Institutional Governance
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with UGC, AICTE, DEB (Distance Education Bureau), and university statutes.
- Accreditation Drives: Lead efforts toward top-tier NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and international rankings across the management and computing clusters.
- Budgetary Management: Oversee strategic planning, operational budgets, resource allocation, and infrastructure growth.
Candidate Eligibility & Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized University/Institute of repute.
- First Class in both Bachelor's (UG) and Master's (PG) degrees in relevant disciplines.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of combined experience in Teaching, Industry, and Academic Administration.
- At least 5 years as a Professor / Head of Department (HOD) / Associate Director / Dean in a reputed University or AICTE/UGC-approved institution.
- Track record of published research papers in Scopus / Web of Science (WoS) indexed journals and Ph.D. guidance.
- Desirable: Prior leadership experience managing UGC-DEB approved Distance & Online Education (ODL) models or hybrid learning platforms.
Required Competencies & Personal Attributes
- Strategic Vision: Ability to position MIT-ADT as a premier hub for Business and Computing education.
- Technology Savvy: Deep understanding of EdTech tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital marketing for student enrollment (especially for CDOE).
- Administrative Leadership: Solid decision-making, crisis-handling, and budget-planning skills.
- Network & Reputation: Solid corporate network to bridge academia-industry divides.
