Diesel / Forklift Mechanic

Job Location: Fiji

Employment Contract: 3 Years

Working Hours: 48 Hours per Week

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diesel / Forklift Mechanic with strong hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing trucks and forklifts. The ideal candidate should have expertise in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and overhauls of diesel and other equipment systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on trucks and forklifts.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential mechanical issues.
- Change fluids, replace worn parts and lubricate moving components.
- Diagnose electrical systems, engines, hydraulic pumps and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot diesel, gas and LP engine-related issues.
- Use diagnostic software and technical manuals for system troubleshooting.
- Repair and replace brakes, masts, transmissions, steering components and attachments.




- Carry out repairs and overhauls to maintain equipment in protected operating condition.
- Ensure trucks and forklifts meet applicable safety standards before being released for operation.
- Maintain proper maintenance and repair records.

Requirements

- Education: ITI/ Diploma
- Age: 26 to 45 years.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Diesel/ Forklift Mechanic.
- Experience in truck and forklift mechanical maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
- Driving Licence: Group 6 and 9.
- Languages: Hindi and English.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
