Java Backend Developer (Lead)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer with robust leadership capabilities to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java backend development and will be responsible for leading a team of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Java technologies, software development best practices, and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of backend systems using Java technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the team is leveraging the best tools and practices.





Mandatory Skills

- Solid proficiency in Java programming language.
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Proficient in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing a team of developers.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
