- Brand Enablement Strategy &
- Implementation: Responsible for driving the strategy to achieve TCPL's sustainability goals and driving the implementation of action plans across all company functions.
ESG Horizon Scanning: Interpret and apply upcoming ESG concepts, emerging regulatory requirements, and technical methodologies globally.
Progress Reporting: Regularly evaluate, benchmark, and report on progress toward global corporate sustainability goals.
Brand
Positioning &
- Influence: Provide constructive inputs and strategic influence to help our commercial brands integrate sustainability into their positioning, narratives, and consumer-facing identity.
External Messaging: Lead the development of external messaging (e.g., articles, case studies) to elevate brand positioning.
Disclosure Platforms: Partner with manufacturing sites to facilitate participation in disclosure platforms such as BRSR, CDP, DJSI, MSCI, and Sustainalytics, enhancing performance transparency through data assurance.
Risk Guidelines: Maintain robust knowledge of existing regulatory requirements for global ESG risks and sustainability guidelines. 3.
Sustainability Communication Communications
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Corporate Communications team to prepare external messaging, articles, and case studies that enhance brand positioning.
Brand Influence: Actively influence brand image through the integration of our sustainability strategy.
Internal Engagement:
Create engaging internal communication content to build a culture of sustainability across all levels.
Executive Presentations: Design and prepare high-quality presentations for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as required. 4.
Internal Processes Technical Standards: Maintain deep technical knowledge in the domain of ESG and reporting frameworks (GRI, SDG, CDP, IFRS, SASB).
Ratings Platforms: Demonstrate expertise in major ESG ratings and indices (DJSI, MSCI, ESG Ratings, and CDP).
Sustainable Supply Chain: Manage and expand supplier sustainability programs (such as SEDEX, EcoVadis, and CDP Supply Chain) and implement program-level supplier sustainability assessments.
Strategy Formulation: Formulate and execute the organization's environmental and sustainability strategy in close alignment with core business objectives.
Leadership Alignment: Collaborate with senior leadership to seamlessly integrate ESG considerations into overall business planning.
KPI Management: Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and assess environmental and sustainability performance. Transparency &
- Reporting: Ensure accurate and transparent reporting of key sustainability metrics to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote and advance sustainability initiatives.
Materiality Assessment: Regularly evaluate the scope of material issues, boundaries identified for each, and the timescales considered. Reporting &
- Strategy Formulation: Direct the preparation of comprehensive sustainability reports, undertaking materiality assessments, managing stakeholder engagements,
and executing risk reporting frameworks (e.g., IIRC-IR, GRI, IFRS, SDGs).
Business Human Rights: Implement Business Human Rights frameworks and assessments across operational sites to build leadership through competitive advantage.

- Learning Technology Adoption: Identify and implement innovative technologies and operational practices to enhance environmental and sustainability performance.
Best Practices: Stay abreast of emerging trends, upcoming technologies, and international best practices. Training &
- Capability Building: Develop and run training modules to raise ESG awareness among corporate employees and site-level teams.
Competitive Benchmarking: Prepare comparative information and benchmarks based on competitors or similar industries to suggest relevant practices applicable to TCPL's business operations. Role Requirements &
- Success Factors Critical Success Factors (Must-Haves) Education: Master's degree or higher (preferably in Environmental Management or an MBA from a top-tier business school).
Experience: Minimum 10 years of dedicated qualified experience in ESG and corporate sustainability.
Framework Fluency: Fluent in reporting standards and rating mechanisms, including BRSR, GRI, IFRS, TCFD, SDG, MSCI, DJSI, Sustainalytics, and ISS.
Circularity: Knowledge and direct experience in EPR compliance in India and other geographies.
Disclosure Experience: Hands-on experience in compiling and submitting questionnaires for CDP, DJSI, and related platforms.
Social Sustainability: Knowledge and experience of handling Supply Chain Sustainability and Human Right Due Diligence frameworks.
Analytical Skills: Strong experience in data handling, GHG accounting, with high proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Professional Attributes: Good communication skills and robust stakeholder management capabilities; proven ability to take initiative and drive cross-functional projects.
