Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data integration and analytics solutions within the healthcare payer domain. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cloud-based data platforms, ETL/ELT development, data warehousing, and integration technologies, with a focus on delivering reliable and high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions.
- Build and maintain scalable data platforms using cloud-based technologies and contemporary data engineering practices.
- Develop data transformation logic using SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Integrate data from multiple source systems, APIs, and enterprise applications into data lakes and data warehouses.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and development teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security,



and compliance standards are met.
- Support data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python/PySpark.
- Experience with one or more modern data platforms such as:
- Microsoft Fabric
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Snowflake
- Databricks
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Experience working on Azure Cloud services, including:
- Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2)
- Azure Functions
- Azure DevOps
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working in the Healthcare Payer domain.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Dell Boomi or another iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solution.
- Exposure to healthcare data standards and interoperability frameworks such as:
- FHIR
- HL7
- EDI (834, 837, 835, 270/271, etc.)
- Familiarity with MS Dynamics 365 and Dataverse.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON payloads, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Knowledge of CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices in cloud environments.
