About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst specializing in healthcare data to join our dynamic team at Persistent Systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in MS SQL, healthcare data modeling, and data integration, with a solid understanding of statistical analysis. In this role, you will be instrumental in building scalable, productive cloud infrastructure, implementing system health monitoring, and developing continuous integration pipelines.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large healthcare datasets, support analytics initiatives, and contribute to enhancing healthcare operations through data-driven insights. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in the healthcare domain, leveraging modern data warehousing platforms like Snowflake and MySQL, and making a tangible impact on healthcare quality and efficiency.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in US healthcare analytics, including working with benefits, claims, and eligibility data, is required. Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large healthcare datasets is essential, along with familiarity with modern data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake and MySQL.





Experience in creating healthcare process and data flow documentation using tools like Microsoft Visio or draw.io is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills are critical to success in this role. Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex healthcare data into clear insights.

Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst in Healthcare at Persistent Systems, your key responsibilities will include analyzing large-scale healthcare datasets such as claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality data. You will write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from relational databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Supporting data validation, reconciliation, and transformation processes will be vital to producing reliable reports for business and regulatory purposes.

You will work with Snowflake, MySQL, and other data platforms to support healthcare data models, marts, and analytics layers. Collaborating with data engineering teams, you will ensure the reliable ingestion and integration of data from source systems like claims processing and provider systems. Supporting analytics initiatives related to value-based care, population health, quality improvement, and operational efficiency will be part of your role.

You will create process flows, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals using tools such as Microsoft Visio or draw.io to document healthcare data workflows. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting healthcare business rules, data definitions, metrics logic, and reporting methodologies to promote standardization and clarity across projects.

Engaging with stakeholders from Healthcare Operations, Finance, Clinical, Quality,



and Compliance teams, you will gather reporting requirements and translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights. Presenting findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams will be a regular part of your responsibilities, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization.
