About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our dynamic team on an hourly contract basis. This role offers the chance to work remotely on innovative AI evaluation projects that require advanced cybersecurity expertise. As a Cybersecurity Expert at Synthires, you will be responsible for designing realistic security scenarios, creating reference security solutions, and evaluating AI-generated outputs to ensure their accuracy, compliance, and technical robustness.

Your insights will directly contribute to the development of next-generation AI systems, making this a vital and impactful position. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in cybersecurity, strong analytical skills, and a passion for applying their knowledge to cutting-edge AI applications.

Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity-related roles, including security engineering, operations, incident response, risk management, or security leadership.



Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles. Candidates should have a deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks including NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIS2, along with familiarity with security tools like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Qualys, and GRC platforms.

Excellent analytical, risk assessment, and technical communication skills are essential for success in this role. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are also important qualifications.

Responsibilities

You will be tasked with developing enterprise cybersecurity scenarios that reflect real-world security operations, threat detection, and risk management workflows. This includes creating detailed reference incident reports, conducting comprehensive security assessments, designing security architecture solutions, and preparing compliance documentation. A key aspect of the role involves evaluating AI-generated cybersecurity outputs, ensuring their correctness, reasoning, and adherence to security standards.

You will design grading rubrics to assess the professional judgment and decision-making capabilities of AI systems, applying methodologies such as threat modeling, incident response planning,



vulnerability management, and risk assessment. Collaboration with project teams will be crucial to maintain consistency, quality, and technical rigor across all deliverables, ensuring that project objectives are met effectively and efficiently.

At Synthires, we offer a competitive compensation package of $80 to $90 per hour, with weekly payments to ensure timely remuneration.
