Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Content Writer – Esports/Gaming role based in Gurugram.

The Content

Writer will create, edit, and optimize written content focused on esports and gaming, including news articles, match reports, features, and opinion pieces. The role involves researching trends, tournaments, teams, and titles, and transforming complex information into clear, engaging stories for diverse audiences.

Writer will collaborate with editors, designers, and social media teams to align content with platform strategy, ensure consistency of tone and style, and support real-time coverage of key events.





Responsibilities also include proofreading for accuracy and grammar, adhering to editorial guidelines, and contributing ideas for new formats and content series.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Web Content Writing and Writing, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and audience-focused esports/gaming content.
- Experience in Content Strategy, including planning content calendars and aligning topics with audience interests and platform goals.
- Proficiency in Research, with the ability to gather and verify information from multiple sources, including live broadcasts, statistics platforms, and community channels.
- Competence in Proofreading, ensuring grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards.
- Deep interest and knowledge of esports and gaming ecosystems (titles, tournaments, teams, streamers, and communities).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom setting and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with basic SEO principles, social media platforms, and content management systems is an advantage.
