About The Role The Google Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect at HCLTech plays a pivotal role in driving the adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for enterprise clients. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions tailored to meet complex business needs across diverse industries such as banking, retail, healthcare, and telecommunications. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise who can lead pre-sales activities, craft innovative cloud architectures, and collaborate with global teams and partners to accelerate client transformation initiatives.

The incumbent will work closely with sales, technical teams, and partners to develop compelling go-to-market strategies, respond to client RFPs, and create scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Between 5 to 7 years of overall IT experience,



with at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Deep technical proficiency in GCP services including Compute, Storage, and Networking.
- Expertise in Data Engineering, particularly with BigQuery, Looker, and enterprise-grade Data stacks.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML platforms such as Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Proven experience working with Global Systems Integrator (GSI) partners to develop joint solutions and scale go-to-market initiatives.
- Strong soft skills, including executive presence, effective communication, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with global sales teams and Google Cloud Architects to respond to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring alignment with client needs and technical feasibility.
- Develop ROI models and hyperscale funding strategies to optimize cloud consumption and reduce total cost of ownership for clients.
- Design industry-specific use cases and ideate innovative solutions for cloud adoption, modernization, and managed services.
- Lead technical workshops, create reference architectures, and guide clients through cloud migration and modernization projects, focusing on data center transformation.
- Architect and implement Google Cloud Native applications, leveraging services such as BigQuery, Looker,



and Vertex AI to build scalable data engineering solutions.
- Design and develop AI-driven solutions, including Gemini Enterprise Agentic AI and GenAI, to enhance enterprise automation and cloud operations.
- Partner with GSI and industry stakeholders to build joint solutions, develop go-to-market strategies, and expand cloud adoption within targeted domains.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape to advise clients effectively.
