Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join Pramaanit as a founding leadership team member.

The CTO will lead the architecture, development, security, scalability, and technology strategy of the Pramaanit ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a category-defining global trust-tech platform from the ground up and is comfortable operating in an early-stage startup environment with significant ownership and long-term upside through ESOP participation.

The CTO will work directly with the founders to:

- Define the technology roadmap
- Build the engineering organization
- Architect secure global identity infrastructure
- Design scalable APIs and verification systems
- Ensure compliance-ready infrastructure
- Lead blockchain and cryptographic architecture decisions
- Build AI-driven verification and fraud prevention systems
- Scale the platform globally

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Architecture

- Define and lead the overall technology vision for Pramaanit
- Design scalable, secure, cloud-native architecture




- Lead development of identity verification and credential verification systems
- Build privacy-preserving biometric-linked identity architecture
- Define blockchain integration strategy for immutable verification trails
- Design secure API frameworks for institutional integrations
- Create interoperability frameworks across countries and verification systems
- Develop secure cryptographic frameworks for user identity management
- Ensure infrastructure is designed for high availability and global scalability

Product & Platform Development

- Build and oversee end-to-end product development
- Lead backend, frontend, mobile, API, and infrastructure teams
- Define product engineering standards and development lifecycle
- Oversee integrations with:
- Government identity systems
- Universities
- Verification agencies
- KYC providers
- Banking and fintech systems
- International IDSP ecosystems
- Build SDKs and APIs for enterprise clients
- Ensure platform readiness for enterprise-scale deployments

Security & Compliance

- Establish cybersecurity architecture and security governance
- Implement encryption, key management, and zero-trust security principles
- Lead GDPR, UK GDPR, India DPDP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and compliance-driven technology implementation
- Design privacy-by-design systems
- Establish fraud prevention and anti-spoofing systems
- Build audit-ready infrastructure
- Ensure biometric systems follow privacy-preserving architecture standards

Engineering Leadership

- Build and lead the engineering organization
- Recruit and mentor high-performing engineering teams
- Establish agile engineering and DevSecOps culture
- Define KPIs, sprint management, and delivery frameworks
- Drive execution speed while maintaining security and reliability




- Collaborate with founders, legal teams, product teams, and enterprise partners

Innovation & Research

- Explore AI and ML applications for trust scoring and fraud detection
- Research decentralized identity frameworks and verifiable credentials
- Evaluate emerging global digital identity standards
- Build strategic technology partnerships
- Stay ahead of global compliance and digital identity trends
